"Snowboy and the Latin Section are Europe’s leading Afro-Cuban Jazz performers."
Snowboy and the Latin Section are Europe’s leading Afro-Cuban Jazz performers and recording artists, led by multi-percussionist Mark ‘Snowboy’ Cotgrove.
This year they celebrate the 30th anniversary since the debut single back in 1985, and this performance at Village Green will be the only concert this year to Snowboy’s home town audience, so there will be much to celebrate. Later this year he releases his 16th album 'New York Afternoon' with much international touring to follow.
Snowboy and the band deliver the fire-fuelled Mambo-influenced messages that Tito Puente did and Eddie Palmieri does, which has taken them to over 32 countries covering the globe. As a percussionist in many styles, he has performed or recorded with Lisa Stansfield, Imelda May, Amy Winehouse, Rod Temperton, Mark Ronson, Basia, Mick Hucknall, Makoto Kuriya, Flaco Jimenez, Airto Moreira, Deodato, Herman Olivera, Jon Lucien, James Taylor Quartet, Mica Paris, Incognito, Patti Austin, Big Boy Bloater and many, many more.
