Artist Village 2019
Primarily using routing as a means of drawing, Milly Peck explores the area between a flat image and a three-dimensional object. Graphically rendering scenes pulled from the everyday into prop-like cut-outs, her work simultaneously tries to function as both a flat, pictorial image and a three-dimensional, scenographic landscape.
Broadly investigating ideas surrounding imitation and artifice, recent projects have included research into mock Tudor architecture and the field of Foley sound production. Milly Peck completed her MA in Sculpture at The Royal College of Art, London in 2016 and currently lives and works in London.
She’s taking part in Artist Village, a programme of new artworks created especially for the festival and Chalkwell Park.
